Happy Hour = Happy Ending

Today was a trying day of doctor’s appointments and patients.  I had a womanly appointment in the morning and ended up with more on my plate to deal with than I started with (and believe me, there was a ton already to begin the day).  The eats on the day, however, were awesome.  Breakfast started out with a bowl of cottage cheese and yogurt topped with flax, wheat germ, cantaloupe, and blueberries.  Packed with protein to refuel me after a 35 minute elliptical sweat session after I woke up.

Then lunch came in the form of a quick half peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a side of grape tomatoes.

There was also some iced caramel macchiato coffee straight from my fridge. (Alongside my valet parking tag from my doctor’s appointment earlier in the day.)

I snacked on an apple and some cheese while I wrote up my afternoon bone dysplasia clinic patient.

Finally, the day ended in a great way with a happy hour of 1/2 priced drinks and breadsticks with some classmates.

I could easily eat seven of these stuffed pepperoni breadsticks but tonight I split the order of four with Claire.  They are literally that yummy.  Plus, my orange crush 32oz long island was no slouch either!  We ended up staying for close to four hours just hanging out and chatting.  What a lovely night.

Now I’m off to bed.  I’m wiped and I have a long day tomorrow with all sorts of work to be done.  Hope our hump-day was nice.  We’re in the home stretch part of the week!

Questions: Do you like long island iced teas?
What is your favorite kind of cheese?

  1. Something about that lunch is making my mouth water. Sometimes those simple classics just hit the spot! Also, long islands? Yes, please! Although, I don't think I could handle a 32 ouncer
