It is the end of the week and what a day it turned out to be.
9am – Wake up to a date stuffed with cinnamon almond butter as pre-run fuel.
9:45am – Head to the fitness center and hop on the treadmill.
10:30am – Finish a fantastic 4.5 mile run with a 5 minute cool-down.
10:50am – Make and scarf down a chai latte protein frosted, cinnamon appled, maple and chia sprinkled piece of baked French toast. Dollop of whipped cream too, because I could!
Super delicious and gone wayyyy too fast!
11:30am – Get adjusted by Dr. C in about seventeen million places. I was all out of whack apparently.
11:45am – Settle in for an hour long deep tissue massage with my normal masseuse.
1pm – Start my errand run at Walmart for socks among other things. Did you know that you can get 12 pairs of socks for $7 or 6 pairs for $8.49?? Makes no sense, right?
1:40pm – Continue the errands at Trader Joes. At this point I was getting mildly hungry and you should never grocery shop while you’re craving food. You buy things you don’t necessarily need. Case in point: spinach tortellini and a scrumptious looking dark chocolate bar.
They may not have been things I NEEDED but they are going to things I sincerely ENJOY! Plus, the damage was less than $4. I’ll take that.
2:30pm – Best Buy to pick up another digital camera memory card because some frakker stole mine while en route to my parents house. The envelop arrived with a rip just big enough to slip out the memory card and nothing else was missing. People are awful!
3:20pm – Arrive at Kroger, now sufficiently hungry, for the last bit of grocery shopping. I was disappointed that there weren’t any honeycrisp apples but I got over it and grabbed a whole bunch of discounted pasta instead.
They were all less than $0.80 a piece which is a price you can’t beat. Also, pasta doesn’t go bad so it’s a great thing to stock up on and I have pasta ADD so it’s not unusual for me to have three or four kinds of noodles open at once.
4p – Finally get home and make a creamy, dreamy peanut butter, Nutella, and forest fruits jelly sandwich.
4:30-6:30p – Study, study, study my butt off.
7:15p – Chow down on homemade pizza! Garlic red sauce, cheddar-jack cheese, turkey pepperoni, and red onion. Super delish.
9p – Decide post-dinner studying is overrated and eat a 86% dark chocolate s’more instead.
10p – Decide that the studying I rebelled against, then gave into for another hour, really REALLY is overrated and have a small piece of carrot cake to finish off the night.
Tomorrow morning I’m attending a Huntington’s disease research conference so I’m off to bed now so I can be up and over to the hotel by 7:30 in the morning. Hope your Friday went well! Even more so, I hope your weekend is pretty awesome.
Questions: Ever had a day that seemed like it’s just go-go-go with no stopping? Do you grocery shop when you’re hungry?
All your eats look so good, especially the pizza! :)
