Well, I ran into a sure sign that it’s test week around here: the dishes. Yes, I’ve discussed this once before and sure enough, it has happened again as I am buried beneath 22 some-odd PowerPoints trying to cram as much information into my poor brain as possible. It’s bad my friends, it’s bad. My sink was overflowing it was so full.
Because I really had no time to spare, I utilized the greatness that is my dishwasher. Oh thank Heavens that I have this bad boy. Saved. My. Life. Sanity.
So much better to see the clean dishes and the bottom of my sink once again. Just in time for dinner too! I made a colorful meal of sautéed garlic, onion, orange pepper, mushrooms, spinach, and roasted pepper chicken sausage.
I served it over a bed of leftover plain pasta with a tomato-ranch (haha, weird combo you say, but delicious I contend) sauce and parmesan on top.
On the whole, today was a fruitful day both in studying and in food coincidentally. I had strawberries and blueberries in my oat bran this morning (along with a healthy drizzle of cookie butter) along with an orange.
During the afternoon in the middle of studying I half a banana with peanut butter for brain food. Don’t you just love opening a brand new peanut butter jar and digging in!
Then, to round out the day, and take a small break from studying my booty off, I had some chocolate covered strawberries. Nom. Nom. Nom. You know you’re jealous!
For Tune Tuesday this week I picked a song by Green River Ordinance like I did a few weeks ago because, well, it’s pretty awesome. Have a listen.
On those lovely and melodious notes, I am going to go pass out in bed. After a full day of presentation giving, cancer genetics midterm taking (let’s not even go there, okay), and hardcore studying, I am spent. Good night world!
Questions: What do you let pile up when you’re studying?
Do you have any bands that you continue to come back to?
Wow...that's your "pile" of dishes?! Thomas has managed more dishes than that (only dishes used by him, mind!) since I cleaned the kitchen on Monday evening (i.e. less than three days). I think you're good, nothing there even looks gross to me. I let mail/paper stack up when I'm busy, thinking I'll get to it when I'm done.
